These beautiful Tuareg mats are produced by nomadic Tuareg tribes. A large ethnic confederation, the Tuareg people inhibit the Sahara in a vast area stretching from far southwestern Libya to southern Algeria, Niger, Mali and Burkina Faso.

These robust Tuareg mats are handwoven from reed and are decorated with woven leather ranging from deep chocolate brown to henna red in colour. They are extremely durable, and are produced to withstand harsh desert extremes.
