Our Tamegroute ceramics are crafted by hand using centuries-old techniques, passed down through generations in a small village at the edge of the Sahara in southern Morocco. Fired in earth kilns and finished with a distinctive ancient glaze, each piece reveals its own variation of the region’s iconic green; deep, raw, and full of character.
No two are alike. These one-of-a-kind ceramics celebrate the irregularities of the handmade, making each a piece of art in its own right. Please note: your piece may differ from the images shown. We’re happy to share more photos on request.

Frequently Asked Questions
Yes. Most of our ceramics are handmade by artisans using traditional techniques, resulting in pieces with rich texture, natural imperfections, and one-of-a-kind character. We stock a mix of Marr-Kett originals and carefully sourced ceramicware from around the world, including Tamegroute pottery from Morocco.
Tamegroute is a centuries-old style of pottery made in a small village in southern Morocco. Known for its distinct green glaze and raw, earthy form, each piece is shaped and fired using age-old methods passed down through generations.
Some of our ceramic pieces are food-safe, while others are intended for decorative use only. Please refer to the individual product descriptions for details about functionality and care.
We recommend handwashing all handmade ceramics with warm, soapy water and avoiding the dishwasher or microwave, especially for glazed or textured finishes. Avoid sudden changes in temperature, which can cause cracking over time.
These subtle variations in shape, texture or glaze are part of what makes artisan ceramics so special. They reflect the human hand behind the piece and are not considered flaws, but features of the craft.
Many of our ceramics are made in small batches or are one-offs. While we do restock select pieces, availability can be limited. If something you love is out of stock, feel free to reach out - we’re happy to let you know if more are on the way.
